QUESTION 10 : Describe 3 major problems on why did it take so long to put sound on films. What were the techical problems?

Problem in making sound films:-


1. Synchronization of two machines
-projector and sound playback.


2. Intermittent motion (stop and start) of projector continuous even - rolling motion required for sound playback.


Sound amplification
-there was no way to fill up a theater with acoustic sound.

Thomas Alva Edison
-First thought of the kinetoscope as a companion invention to his very popular phonograph and field a patent for " Motion Pictures With Sound " after fadweard maybridge visited him in Menlo Park, NJ and showed him his series of motion photographs in 1887.
